Fatigue is returning, although it's been almost entirely retuned. Rather than being calculated after a play as a one-shot penalty, it is actually calculated in real-time. Temperature and location will change the effects of fatigue, with thin air and sweltering heat making it worse. A long, drawn out streak will leave your team (and the pursuing defenders) beat, so it'll be important to take a huddle to recover. Each player's fatigue penalties are based on what they actually do, so the penalties assigned to your DBs won't be the same assigned to your linemen. In theory, this opens up options like firing pass after pass to wear out DBs, just putting it on the line to "grind it out" with the defense, or running your plays as fast as possible and trusting that your team's endurance will beat out your opponents'.

This is by far my favorite thing to hear about the game. I just hope that this will force the CPU to use subs and not be able to always run their star players at you every down.

That's something I really missed in next-gen, because I really like being able to play press coverage or back off with only one of the cb's.
