Anyone know if Billichek and Wade Phillips will be in this year's Madden?

For some teams the coach *IS* the star, such as when Parcells was the coach of the Cowboys. Now Phillips won't be that way but it'd still be nice to see him in the game. If the camera cuts to the guy on the sideline all the time and he doesn't look anything like the head coach it's distracting. I keep thinking "who the heck is that guy?!"

Funny thing is that when Parcells was on the Jets, he was in the game. Besides MJ and Barry Bonds, Thurman Thomas pulled the same stunt in one of the Tecmo football games back in the day.

There were actually quite a few players that weren't in 'Tecmo Super Bowl'. I'm sure Wikipedia has a list (Jim Kelly was another, IIRC).

For the record, three players were missing from the original Tecmo Super Bowl in NES: Randall Cunningham, Bernie Kosar and Jim Kelly, they were all referred to as Eagles QB, etc.

In response to an earlier question, I'm certain that the assistant coaches in the game have to be licensed. You can't just use someone's name in a game without permission.

I'm a pats fan, and as long as the "NE coach" isn't black, I'm fine with it, maybe a white guy with a hoodie.

p.s. I'm not being racist, I just want my team's coach to have the correct skin pigment atleast.

They should look similar and yes a name editor would be great. Especially to re-name real coach names so when your friends come over they will be like "wtf???"

That's what makes me think it's the Cowboys that are prohibiting coaches from being in. I remember Dave Campo was never in the game either.
