Its not a big deal to me. I rather they work on get more penalty call in the game.

While I wouldn't go as far as to say I'm bothered by the lack of referees in the game, I am a little disappointed, motly because the inclusion of things like refs, chain gangs, active sidelines, etc. helps provide a sense of immersion--it'a an atmosphere thing as NZA said. This is a bit like comparing apples to oranges, but I love the way MLB 07 The Show has unique umpire personalities and has the base coaches respond to game play (like ducking on liners hit their way). Little stuff like that takes a good game and makes it great. I'm sure Madden will be good, relatively speaking, but it would be great if it had more of the little things. Given the difficulty EA has had getting even the big things right on Next Gen, I think their priorities are right for the time being.

The producers stated the refs are not in the game yet because they cannot get them to act right. Its a programing issue just like the damn clear visors.

Meh .. refs are simple AI, I don't know why they couldn't get that in. And Marty has clear glasses .. I don't know why they couldn't make clear visors
