Re: IGN:Last-Gen Producer Interview

Well I guess I don't have to worry if i'm choosing the right game by picking next/current whatever gen it is because it sounds like the current/last gen game isn't going to have much to it this year.

Kind of risky if you ask me. Current gen has always been the safety valve for those who didn't like / couldn't play the 360/PS3 versions and while its smart to steer people to the next gen systems, if this version of Madden falls flat (and i doubt that it will) EA will struggle to get a fourth chance from fans.

The past two years I've picked up current gen first and then bought next gen after a few months to try it out. The games really presented a different experience. This year it looks like EA is offering the current gen version simply as a stripped down version of the next gen game and it doesn't seem like it'll have the similar but different feel.

Re: IGN:Last-Gen Producer Interview

Last-gen makes it sound like it's dead. So are 360 and PS3 now considered current gen? I would think 360 and PS3 would be considered next gen until they start pumping out some madden games that people stop complaining about. I mean for me I have so much more fun with madden ps2 version than with my ps3 version. The graphics are not as good. But I have fun and it feels closer to being real in gameplay than the ps3 and 360 versions do. sorry if im rambling. just my opinion

I think 'the casual gamer' was mentioned too many times.
