Humm that video disappointed me. It may be that both EA and 2k have spoiled me to the point where both thier games aren't that impressive anymore.

I love what EA is doing with Madden this year, but frankly it still looks like the players feel a bit robotic or stiff. I mean the animation dont roll like......2k8, however i'm in love with the new concepts EA is bringing on board this new game.

I rented 2k8 and even though on the field its a good game, i'm glad i olny rented it. Theres nothing there to call it long lasting. People bashed Madden 06 when all it had was new graphics with a bare franchise mode along with a simple multiplayer mode. Yet 2k8 has nothing the same thingand is being praised.

I hope i don't sound like i'm ranting, but it really looks like this year, at least to me is a disappointing year for football games. 2k8 coming out has been made realize that madden still looks stiff in the animations department, and madden 08 has been me realize that 2k8 is an expansion pack to 2k5 with new players. Technically though i would have to sway towards madden. I liked madden 07 and it seems as if they suped up everything from 07 and made it 10xs better. The addition of gangtackling, defensive player maker is and Owner Mode are all back. Yet again the stiff looking character turns me off.

Maybe just maybe this year will be my hiatus for a football game. I spend too much money on games anyway and Blue Dragon is set to come out end of the month. Hopefully the Madden demo sways me to buy the game. Cause before i played the 2k8 demo the videos made it looks bad, however the game itself was pretty good. I probably just need to play Madden 08 for myself to get that feeling of being in complete control of my player

I am not as excited this year for madden. None of the videos are getting me as fired up as years past.

im glad they have the players looking soo jacked anymore. That was a real turn off in 06 and even 07. They looked far fetched like a Blitz game or sumin and even thier jaws didnt make the faces look right. but now i love what i've seen in videos of the players. Also I noticed how beautiful the glass effects look in Dallas up in the boxes when they showed that FG attempt.
I think this is it boys, the 'Next Gen Break-Through Year" . It usually takes 3 years for games on new systems to peak to where they should be and by the looks of the speed of gameplay, player models, graphics and features I think next week we all gonna be some happy ballers.
