I don't know about being in for a league (maybe a Wii league thread should be in the online forum?) because I don't want to tie up a spot then not be able to play as consistently as I'd like. Definitely down for online games, though.

As far as this game, it's incredible. I love the depth. You can feel that they spent a lot of time and effort on this game. I love the fact that accelerated clock is in this version. It's something minor but it adds that nice little bit of realism.

The controls are pretty nice, but I definitely have to get used to them. One thing that's bugging me is the "locking onto the receiver" thing. My QB will hike it and automatically throw to someone. It happens sometimes, but I don't know what I'm doing that's triggering it to happen. Tips would be appreciated on this.

Defense is difficult to play, but I'm sure I'll get used to it. I wish there were defensive hot routes, but eh, it's no biggie. I'd love to blitz individual linebackers, oh well.

My player's uniforms seem to be a bit on the dark side though. I don't know if this was expected or if there's anything I can do about it?

the PC version is continually the best version out there, but I've found myself loving the Wii version so far. No huge score-fests, either. I lost one game 17-16 (I was the Texans, playing against the 49ers) and then won my next game 17-14 (Playing as the Broncos, against Green Bay). Definitely good signs, but I hope it doesn't get too crazy when I get used to the controls.

Running is totally fun in this game. I was running strong with Ahman Green and it feels like you're "earning" the cuts that the RBs make, because you're doing them yourself. I have to get used to which motion is juke and which motion is stiff-arm though. My brain confuses me, haha.

Thanks for letting me know on the controller thing. I hope that'll fix it. Because I guess when I zoom out and look at the receivers, it locks onto one of them.

And as for the motion controls. They seem pretty damn responsive to me. I played Madden 2007 when I was drunk and they seemed pretty good to me. I'm sure there's some improvement though over last year's version. These controls seem really tight, I just have to stop my brain from getting confused on what motion to do and when to do it.

I just did a fantasy draft with the Bucs....it's real easy to get a TON of young talent. I got Jay Cutler, Marshawn Lynch, Kerry Rhodes, Justin Miller, Dunta Robinson, Shawne Merriman, Jonathan Vilma, DeMeco Ryans, and Mario Williams just to name a few.

I played my first preseason game against the Pats and lost. It was a VERY high scoring affair. 60-49! Keep in mind that I'm still playing on Pro while I get used to it. Apparently Corey Dillon is a machine, and apparently I still suck at run defense despite my superstar LBs.

Someone suggested the fix for that "auto" throw thing in that video clip thread. I think I turned it off (I turned off something called player lock and the other one that's similar to that), but it's still happening. I don't know what I'm doing to trigger it, but it led to a few interceptions.

Overall turnovers seemed sort of high for the preseason game I played. It was a high scoring affair, and a lot of my own picks were unwarranted, but there were like 8 turnovers in the whole game. Odd but I don't think its anything to worry about.


Another weird thing I'm coming across is that "hazy" blur that happens when I come out of that "line of scrimmage" camera. You know the one where it says "Press A to return to Game Cam"? It's kind of weird, but it corrects itself after.

Other than that, this game is very fun. Has so many little things in there that it's just great. I have to tone down the "15 minutes accelerated clock" though. I played a game and it damn near took two hours to finish! Maybe 10 will do the trick.

I'm dying for someone to get this game on the Wii, because this "automatic throw" thing is really driving me nuts.

On the bright side, there are in-game saves. Hallelujah!

Matrix, have you played any on the 360? How does this compare to the 360 version... is there still some issues with Mario running?

Is there a seperate Wii code for online, or since you use EA Messenger is it a name?
