No, it occurs in all simmed games. You would have to play out every team's games to avoid it. It ruins defensive interception totals around the league.

Does anyone know if simmed QB INTs really low again this year? I assume it's part of the same bug. I remember seeing a handful of starting QBs each season have less than 5 INTs.

I saw in another thread that like 7 QBs finished the season with over a 100.0 rating, which I assume might be because of the lack of INTs.

So wait, every defensive interception in a simmed game counts as 2? That's one heck of an oversight - somewhere, some beta testers need to be flogged.
