There is only one video game store near you? There's at least 10 EB/GS that are doing midnight releases that are 20 min or closer to my house.

Does anyone know if Gamestop requires you to preorder in order to purchase it at midnight? That's my hold-up about going to Gamestop. For some reason I think someone told me that one year when I bought my NCAA copy, even though this makes no sense because it would be ludicrous to refuse to sell an extra, non-reserved copy to a willing purchaser.

At Walmart, you never know what'll happen. Sometimes you get there around midnight and they've got the display out, ready to sell copies, and there's no line and no problem. Other times I've been there, asked if they any copies of Madden/NCAA, and was told that they don't have any copies or that it's sold out (which I think is probably employee code language for "I haven't gotten around to putting them on display yet, and I'm not going to walk to the storage room to get you a copy.")

But luckily for me, I've got two shots at it since my Gamestop and Walmart are in the same shopping center.

I went by the gamestop I'm gettin Madden from tonight. A guy there told me they were only going to stay open until 12:30. But, they got so many pre-orders in that they are going to stay open until 2:00 AM. It's going to be crazy.

He had to call all the guys working tonight to let them know. I tought to myself, "If I worked here I'd be upset."
