That's the thing, I never understood rooting for one game or another either and that's not what I'm doing or a lot of people are doing. People just appreciate quality and the people that like this game do for the most part. I spent a decent amount of time with each football game this year and I loved All pro when it first came out. Same with NCAA. The people that are saying Madden has more of a tilt and a learning curve are absolutely right. People that just sit down and play this game and knock it without giving it time are missing out. It's the best game this year imo. Madden technically and gameplay wise is a step ahead of the competition imo. All these issues that people are complaining about I don't even see, because I learned how to play the game and gave it a fair chance like I gave every game this year. I know people won't believe me, but I am not a biased person at all. I have an opinion but it's pretty unbiased. Madden is king this year in my book.

I love NCAA and Madden.

I love the idea of APF, but just not the actual game.

I think I prefer NCAA better, by a squotch, but Madden plays very well and Franchise seems so very cool.

I hear ya Giants, MM has become rife with new members slamming NCAA, but more so now Madden. That's why since end of July beginning of this month, I stick mainly to Soap Box and Game Room.

People who dislike or are disappointed in a game never get tired of publicly venting their displeasure. A lot of boards I visit, not necessarily just about sports games, have a dedicated "bitch" or "venom" thread so as not to have endless threads repeating the same thing. Any board that doesn't will have new threads popping up by the hour saying the same thing that 20 other threads have said.

I'm just hazarding a guess, but I would say that at least 1/3 of the people who buy any game will not like the game. Given the numbers Madden sells that is going to be a lot people who are going to be angry.

Madden of course has the added level of rancor levied against it by the presence of the living martyr APF. Here at OS the usual suspects are always lurking in the bushes to join a "discussion" on Madden even if its in another forum. It is what it is.

That being said,I agree with the posters who say we're lucky because all 3 games are good this year. I am in that boat, I really like all 3 games this year, and my problem is finding enough time to get quality time with all 3.
