Bring Back the Kicking Meter!

does anyone else here miss the kicking meter as opposed to this analog kicking nonsense. the only possible way to miss FGs with analog is by trying to attempt one out of your range. I miss the days where i could go a season without 100% FG% for my kicker

actually if you turn it to much to the right or left as you go up on it you can miss it easily that way.

Tried kicking with 0 accuracy? that helps alote on missing them from time to tme

yeah my acc is at 0. i guess all those years of playing tiger woods has given me an arrow straight joystick movement lol

I would personally like an option to have the computer kick for you. Similar to basketball games and free throws that you can set so that the players shoot based on their actual free throw percentages.

After playing enough games, most of us can kick well over 95% of the field goals.

I think last year I had a great idea concerning the kicking game.

Let me rethink it...
It was something along the lines of continuing to use the analong system. There wouldn't be much of a power meter except on maybe 40 something yard and longer field goals. I mean, how many kickers worry about their power inside a certain yardage??

Where you would get the accuracy difficulty would be in a varying speed of the meter/analog. Depending on the kicker's rating, even a clutch rating or confidence rating, the meter would move at different speeds. There would be so many variables involved in this speed. Home or away, big kick or not, game winner, 1st quarter, confidence... and so on. Some speeds might be just practically impossible to make... perhaps almost stuttering speeds.

The speed for an individual kicker would be unknown until you actually snap the ball. This way you don't just get your timing down on a certain level.

This is imo a good idea that could be expanded on.
