Does training do anything?

I trained Ernie Sims and his Big Hitter weapon went up to 93. Next week, it was back to 92. Got it to 93, and down to 92 again. Is it just for that week? Is there any way to improve players using it?

I believe the training option is even labeled as "Train for this week". It only affects the week selected, but overall if the training helps in that game, it will help him out throughout the year and therefore boost his stats by the offseason.

i havent had that problem. I trained Bradie James into a Brick Wall and he stayed there all year. After you have trained him up a point go back to him the next week and see if it is the same

yeah training works forever. I trained T jack to an 84 speed, up from 79 and hes been there all year so dont know whats happening with u

I think the problem is drills where I only need 7 points for the next +1. When I do those I only get the upgrade for one week.
