Exclusivity - was it worth it?

Thanks again for proving my point about people who like the game being criticized.

I haven't resigned myself to anything. I find the game fun to play so I play it. Simple as that. As far as lots to complain about, that can be said about any football game ever made.

I don't understand the logic of anyone who wants to complain about Madden , but hasn't played it or bought it since 03.

You know damn sure it was worth it! I'm making up numbers but I'd be willing to bet Madden accounts for close to half of their gross from sports games. And they make a lot:

Fight Night, Tiger Woods, Rugby, Live, NHL, Nascar, NCAA, FIFA....

I wouldn't be surprised if Madden equaled the output of those titles combined.

Having fun with the game is one thing.... reducing other folks issues with the game to so much nit picking and minutia... is quite another...

I know you are joking, I guess that would be similar to going over to the APF boards and only playing the demo(which is all i ever attempted with 2k football) and complaining about APF.

There is enough banter over there as it is.

By the way, if you are looking for coach mode, Madden PC plays a pretty good game.

First I'm amazed that everyone has passed over the most important point to this thread the guy that said 4-5 slots go in between 2k vs Madden bickering that it is more than worth it to EA since Madden makes up such a huge part of their annual sales. No Madden, most likely no EA. EA was basically forced to place the bid.

If I'm happy with the game, I'm happy with the game. I respect the fact that you aren't but it doesn't mean that I should pretend not to like it or support your stand against it to function change. That's like asking someone to protest against a policy they support because other people don't like it. There's room for improvement but you shouldn't be put in a position to defend your enjoyment of a game.
