Draft Class

I was just wondering, because I'm a little undecided. Do you guys use NCAA draft classes or pre-generated? I never have have used the NCAA ones much since the players always seemed to be much higher rated overall than the Madden generated ones. I saw one draft in either '05 or '07 where the first drafted player with under a 75 rating was late in the fifth round. And I have heard of imported players this year with overall ratings of over 90 as rookies. So I was just wondering which way you guys thought was the best way to go.

Re: Draft Class

I always use the NCAA draft classes. I just love having the college guys come in. It just adds to the experience. As far as ratings, I really don't pay too much attention. I am still in season one, but I heard that the NCAA guys take a ratings hit when they are imported. I'm sure someone can confirm whether or not this is true.

Wouldn't that kind of be common sense?

I guess you would think so, but from year's past this wasn't the case. Players would come in with 99 ratings. I remember I drafted Brad Smith (he lit it up at Missouri so his ratings were high the following year in NCAA). He came out and was a beast in Madden. So, common sense doesn't always win out.

Re: Draft Class

How are Madden=gen draft classes? I used an NCAA one for the first year and then I redid my classes so I didn't want duplicate players(Juniors who didn't come out) so I'm using a Madden class this time. What are the highest guys usually? Low 80's? High 70's?

Re: Draft Class

a well scouted 1st round prospect will usually be a 75-85ish...sometimes there will be a player that has a high 80 rating

and i would guess a 7th round prospect would probably be in the low 60's
