What the hell does benchpressing have to do w/ making your leg stronger?!?!?!?

GOOD JOB EA!
Come on man, that's realism at its finest. I mean all the old time kickers benched for their strength. If you're strong on top, it will make you strong on bottom! Did you ever notice all the diesel kickers out there.

Re: Training and Progression

Just read this too, think it came from the same guy that posted the quote from my first reply in this thread. Haven't tested any of it yet to see if it works this way yet.

I just posted in a new thread what is going on. Some training exercises write the increased stat value into some completely different stat. So if you have a WR with a 77 Catch in Training and a 50 Release, and you do the Possession Receiver drill to increase his CIT, it will tell you in training that you now have a 78. But when you go check your roster you'd find you still have a 77 CIT but your Release just became 78. Here are the ones I've found so far that do this:

WR:
Possession - trains Catch In Traffic but applies result to Release.
Quick - trains Route but applies result to Injury.
Spectacular Catch - trains Spectacular Catch but applies result to Press

LB:
Big Hitter: trains Hit Power but applies result to Stamina

DB:
Press - trains Press but applies to Toughness

DL:
Big Hitter - trains Hit Power but applies to Stamina

Re: Training and Progression

They need to put training back to how it was in the older maddens. Just let you assign the points how you want to. They can limit it to the abilities that apply to the drill you did, just don't force us to only train the players weapons.

Re: Training and Progression

This was posted over at the EA forums by someone. Haven't confirmed it myself...but either way, I think EA needs to invest in some better beta testers. Or beta testers period.

Re: Training and Progression

Does anyone know if progression happens WITHOUT using the training exercises?

It does not.

It happens once per year, at the end of the year, on XBOX 360.
