Training and Progression

Yes TJ, progression occurs w/o training AND without the player really having to perform much. In my old Raiders franchise that I have since deleted, Kevin Curtis (traded for) lead the league in yards, ypc, and tds but didn't progress a point. Mike Williams on the other hand, who didn't have a but a handful of receptions , progressed a few points. In fact, his speed went up about 3 points. Jamarcus Russell progressed about 1 point ovr. As did Micheal Bush and Johnnie Lee Higgins. My LE Tommie Kelly had 20 sacks and also didn't progress a single point. Seeing all this you might think that only the young guys progress but Jerry Porter also went up 1 point ovr and he is 30. So it seems pretty random and I think I like that.
