Can you hide play pick vs human on ps3

Hey i just purchased ps3 and madden for it. I set up my system and set up 2 player profiles for both wireless controllers (all madden level, no play interface) Basically for Human vs Human game play when I have friends over the house. I've yet to play but im sure they'll be knocking at the door soon to check out the new system. Is there any way to hide what play your picking because i noticed vs the computer it highlights the play you want as you scroll, I would hate that my opponent see's what im picking, I would like to go with my own play calling rather than having to audible because they can plainly see whats coming. Any input on this issue?

if I recall correctly, when you get to the play that you want to run, select the corresponding button and hold it, then scroll through the playbook and just let go of the button when you're done bluffing.
