Was there anything that you liked better in '07 than in '08 (360)?

I traded in madden 08 a few days ago for store credit....I got CH 2k7 and still have about $12 left to spend. Madden 07 is sitting there for $10.

Just trying to remember, what exactly did '08 do better than '07 (besides adding a few new catching animations and.... fatigue )? I know '08 moved alittle smoother....but was it worth the $60 (roster) upgrade?

Could you go back to playing 07 after playing this years version?

On 2007 you had no control over your defensive players, you let the computer do a lot. If you don't like 08 enough to keep, then I recommend you don't buy 07.

Game ran like mollasses. I couldnt stand plyaing it. Also no control over Defence like the guy above me said.

One thing from 07 that I miss, personally, is Live Opponent, and the ability to play franchise games online against human opponents. I have no idea why they took out such a fantastic innovation.

I can't believe you traded in 08. It is worlds better then 07. But maybe you should try APF 2K8 of if you are on a original XBox or PS2/3 you should def try Espn 2K5 it is a AAA football game.

Different strokes for different folks i guess . I personally don't think 08 is "WORLDS BETTER" than 07. 08 just frustrated me to no end with all the turnovers. I just wasn't having fun anymore. I don't get that much playing time as it is, and I just hate when I had to restart a game because turnovers were getting out of hand. I was also experiencing the FA bug where FA's were disappearing....the franchise mode just frustrated me all around. Sure '07 doesn't play as smooth...but it is not unplayable for me. I think the running game is actually better in '07...and also the passing game since i don't have all those turnovers now. My DB's are always out of place tho...something that I forgot about in '07. The DB play is just bad in this version...but still, not unplayable for me. To me, Madden 08 just has a few new animations, and runs alot smoother...but the franchise mode and presentation is just as bland as it was in '07. So, TO ME, 08 isn't worth the $60 upgrade (myself being one who just doesn't have $60 to just throw around)

I also think the Graphics (outside the player models) are alot better in '07 than '08. I think i read somewhere that this was intentional to get the game to run at 60 FPS. But madden '07 for the 360 is a beautiful game, IMO.

One thing that is annoying in '07 is the lack of player editing...I can't even edit their numbers. If a players original number is already taken on your team and u sign him, he could end up as having the number "0"...and that's really annoying. But oh well.


I have a 360 and loved APF...but over time, I just got bored with it as a single player game. That game just doesn't offer much without a franchise mode. NFL 2k5 was probably my 2nd fav game of all time (CH 2k7 is still my favorite).

07' fumbles and interceptions were much better implemented to a degree, in 08' its outta control as well all know. Other that that there is nothing that 07' does better than 08' IMO other than some missing online features as noted above.
