Re: Pastapadre - "patch imminent"?

How does 2K release a patch already for NBA 2K8 when it came out months after Madden? EA, and the folks there do not seem to care if we are playing a crappy game. It makes me sick.

Maybe it was easier to patch NBA 2K8? Just throwing a guess out there. I love how you guys act like you actually know what goes into making a patch for a game. You have no idea what goes on. For all you know, the amount of code that needed to be changed for the Madden patch could be five times as much as was needed for the NBA 2K8 patch.

Your right I don't know what goes into making one, but it just seems it's taken quite awhile for this Madden patch to come along. But if you can say that there could be a massive amount of code can't we (the "Naysayers") say that EA doesn't care about the product to quickly patch it such as 2K did?

I mean the lackluster game which is now Madden is a testament to the idea of "quality" that EA has.

Who's right or wrong here?

I hope that for those of you that still have the game, and are awaiting this patch it fulfills your hope and patience.

I've moved onto NBA 2K8, but I like to check back time to time in this forum to see if a patch has been released.

Re: Pastapadre - "patch imminent"?

Why on earth does the patch have to be highlighted on the Madden Blog?
Just get on with it already. Fact is 2K makes cleaner games and is
faster with patchwork. As big a franchise as Madden should be a
tighter product after 15 years year over year.

We can assume the coding is piss poor to begin with that their very own programmers cannot even decipher it hence such a long delay for a patch.

*SIGH*

Once again...this thread has veered off topic far enough to get it closed. Great job, guys.
