How long is the update/download taking..I'm sure this will be a rather large file. If its a boom 2-5 second download I am sure it probably not it.

Then what else could it have been for?
This is (afaik) the only patch that has been spoken of lately.

Re: **Official Madden Post-Patch Discussion**

I just simulated a season with the new patch and there are a ton of kickers, punters, and fullbacks in free agency at the start of season 2. Also, the age doesn't change when you edit the uniforms. I think this might be the real thing!!!

Re: **Official Madden Post-Patch Discussion**

I just played one half of Madden 08.

Packers vs Cowboys. So far only 1 fumble and this is because I tried to score a TD with Favre near the goaline. I have not seen any interceptions so far. I hurt Romo early in the game and Brad Johnson came in as a replacement. U know if Johnson doesnt throw a pick then the game must be patched. I believe im using NJ's sliders as well.

Hopefully this is the real deal.

Same result here (default settings, no draft classes), but I also noticed there were no unsigned rookies in my FA pool at the beginning of season 2. Going to go a couple seasons ahead to see if that stays consistent.

I would bet that the reason some people are getting 2 files is that one of them is a roster update containing extra free agents.

What I would ask for you to check in your simulated season is if any unsigned draft picks disappear.

Re: **Official Madden Post-Patch Discussion**

well after playing a quick half I could tell you I do see a difference. Could be a placebo effect but all I did was throw and it seemed like the Lb and DB's instead of gliding to knock the ball down they would play the man. For example I put the D in a cover two and I ran a Post and a In route with my rec. On the in route the LOLB and the MLB when the rec made is cut and was between those two I fired it in their, old way both would have glided and knocked the ball down. What i noticed now was both turned their head and went to the rec. A lot better Same thing on the post play, the Lb did not do a 15ft standing broad jump, he just turned his head followed the ball and went after the rec. Hope this helps, again this was after just a half but early returns looks like it could be good, oh and by the way no fumbles
