Craziness happened online

I was playing a game in online when in the first quarter the graphics suddenly went haywire. The entire playing field went all black. I couldn't see the field lines. I had no way of knowing where the out of bounds was at or the goalline! lol All the helmets for both teams were completely silver. When selecting the plays it looked like a scratched out chalk board. I was only able to read the name of the play. Thankfully the play art was working correctly so I could see my play when I came to the line. I could barely make out the time on the clock. I couldn't read play clock at all. I was losing 10-0 at the time so I didn't want to quit and have the guy think I was quitting because I was losing. He said everything fine on his side. I finished the game and the crazy thing was I won 17-10! lol The graphics stayed that way after I was done even when I got offline. I had to reboot the system. It was fine after I restarted the game.
Has this ever happened to anyone else? What in the heck caused that? Thanks

Doubtful. Just a graphical glitch. I've never seen it myself, and I've played over 100 games of Madden 08 so far. Just chalk it up to something you'll probably never see again.

Have you ever gotten the red ring? I have,and thats how it starts.With wierd graphical glitches,then freezing,then goodbye.I'm not trying to scare the guy I'm getting him prepared

I guess I should have mentioned I was playing the PS2 version of Madden on my PS3.
