Exactly! Why not just send EA a check in the mail? "I am going to protest against you EA by giving you my money and helping improve your sales numbers and getting absolutely nothing for it in return . . . that will show you!"

Bottom line is I need a football game. Its my favorite sport by far and I thought madden 08 was enjoyable. yes it was not sim and leaned towards arcade but I enjoyed it. Im not trying to BS myself I know im getting Madden and NCAA day one

It's definitely going to be a wait and see approach for me. I rented it last year and after 5 days I knew the game wasn't for me.

While I didn't think that Madden 08 was spectacular, I don't it was all that bad and think it was a definite improvement over the first two Next Gen efforts by EA. I will be picking up Madden 09 on day one.
