Do you Remember when Madden 08 Arrived and all the Complaint you had?

If so... why buy Madden '09. Why not take a year off (from buying, not playing) and maybe EA will learn to fix their mistakes. That being said, it's only like fifty bucks. But, I do not plan on purchasing Madden '09 this year.

P.S. Madden 09 won't have Sean Taylor (RIP).

my biggest complaint with last years game(30fps for PS3) has been addressed, so I'll be getting '09 day one, or earlier.

Time heals all pain. People will forget about last year and run out at midnight to get it. For me I want evidence showing the game is fixed. I have learned the lesson of giving things time to work out the kinks. Like the 360 or PS3 with all its problems, I waited a year after and no problems. I know EA will try to put out a better game this year but any smart consumer will wait and see if they have come through with a playable game. Just hold out and see before you waist your money people.

I rent it every year. But I haven't bought it since 04. What someone else does with their money is their affair.

i've purchased Madden every year since 1989 (yea, i am that old). I play online league and offline franchise as well as local tourney and with friends.

I've been SOOOOOO disappointed with the game for 2 years straight now. "Improvements" and "new features" have been nothing but added fluff with nothing really improved as far as gameplay goes, let alone their inability to give os Online League function. The CG's Spawn/Merge is a disaster that is now known as The Merge Error.....for 3 years in a row, total refusal to fix it. NG's "Live Opponent" was garbage as well.

With that said, this will be the first year that I won't being buying Madden on release day at midnight. Off to Blockbuster we go. EA will have about 3 days to impress me from a rental. If not, screw them, there's too many other good games to waste my time on instead of constantly being disappointed by the garbage we've been given the past couple of years.

anyway, i will be getting madden like always early. was last year game good? yes. great? no. due to the franchise bug this was my second madden game i could not play a franchis in (first was 03. i hate that game.) i believe madden this year will be good so ill be back on it.

i didnt complain too much about last years game cuz i have so many good games to play. nba 2k8, COD4, THE SHOW, and SVR 08. but i will always love madden. the gameplay is great now. what made 08 so dull was the presentation. they are fixing that so im all good.
