This puzzles me?

The lead producer for HC was working with Madden's franchise mode previously. How is it that the franchise mode is so lacking especially with so much deatil thats going into HC? Everyone is talking about online franchise and thats cool but I could care less. I'm more concerned on what they did to step the franchise mode up. I hope its not just hype that "Hey its online now" yet they didn't improve or add anything.

To be fair, they have'nt announced the details for Madden'09s franchise mode yet, for all we know it could have just as much depth as HC minus the create-a-play option.

When HC'06 came out, Madden'06s franchise mode was almost just as good, the games just had two different focuses (some things that Madden had weren't in HeadCoach and vice-versa). I'm expecting the same thing for this years iteration of the two games.

I hope your right. I'm just sick of hearing about everything else but nothing about the franchise mode.

I really don't think they are going to do much with franchise in Madden. I think they want to push Head Coach for people who like running franchises and stuff and use Madden for the kids. That way they know they can get many football fans to buy two games instead of one.

This is kind of similar to what they did with FIFA when they'd make a World Cup game and a game that offers a Road to the World Cup. They could have easily combined the two like they used to.

I agree, "franchise" and "dynasty" modes are the ONLY reason I play Madden and NCAA. While I understand the interest in online play, I would guess the vast majority of gamers do not play online?
