Madden is definitely no longer a "simulation". They are dumbing it down, making it even more easy for the average Joe who just wants to score 70 points every game. Sad.

Agreed. But there isn't a console game out there that's really a simulation. Every console football game is dumbed down, and a large piece of reality goes out the window the second you put a controller in most people's hands.

I can say that I got angry at Madden 08 a few times. Fumbles and the defenders act like superman on all-madden.

The patch didn't fix squat ... I still see way too many fumbles unless you dumb down the cpu defense or boost the hum rb's! 08' was a poor excuse for a game and should never have been shipped with all the glitches. Unbelievable lack of quality assurance! As for 09' I'll have to wait and see.

Madden might as well be NFL Blitz, in comparison.
