Know something huge that's missing?

Something I haven't heard anyone mention. Something that was last gen. Something that truly completes the player models as individuals. Something technically minor, but yet so major in making the players stand out. Know what it is?



Tattoos. The old gen had player specific tattoos. If really made the players look more like their real selves and individuals rather than just a number and name plate. It is hard to look at Ray Lewis on a replay or on a cut scene and really believe it is him without the tats. Even Chris Hovan with his big tats. They make the player stand out and they are crucial as far as making the players look true to their self.

Even if EA doesn't want to put every players real life tats in the game they can at least give us an option to edit them in ourselves.

Am I the only one who thinks is kind of a big deal?

Also, it would be great for the NCAA game as well. Just to be able to give players their tats would make it huge.

I'd rather have more equipment that players wear than tats. Also if they add tats EA would have to work on the pre and post play camera cuts to show the players off properly. Other than that you would hardly see them from the gameplay cam IMO.

True, but what about the cut scenes? If they are really going for the NFL experience I believe they should have tattoos. You which cut scenes I mean, right? The ones pretty much after every play where it kind of focuses on one player.

Tattoos are just a big part of the NFL. Seeing them on a player (especially their real life ones) would just add such a more realistic experience. It's just kind of disappointing that the old gen had them down so well and now we can't have them on the best looking players models to date.

I still give EA props for this years game though. They have made a lot of improvements, but the tats just really give the players personality and really bring them to life.

Tats would be a nice addition but I am with Sage on this. Give me better/more equipment. Knee braces, hand warmers, QB wrist bands..etc...

I thought QB wrist bands were in the game, right? I think they are, but now you have me second guessing...

Truth be told, at this point in the series we should both the equipment options AND the tats. I know we can't have it all, but these are little things here.

That's what I meant when I said post and pre play camera cuts. They aren't cut scenes because they are real time. IMO they should be improved before they even bother adding tattoos because right now they aren't close enough and don't resemble an NFL broadcast.

I wouldn't mind having the option to put generic tattoos on players. From the in-game camera angle, you would only be able to tell if the tat was generic from the cut scenes. Some tribal bands, alphabets in different fonts styles for initials, and some color options would do it for me. I have a feeling that the equipment editing is gonna be deep this year. In the tackling video, I saw an Eagle wearing a green visor. Other than that, I hope they bring back different hair styles in CAP mode.

They need tats in both games just like they also need dreadlocks in NCAA.
