kicking mechanic

sorry if already posted...but are they going to fix the kicking this year? The kicking mechanic has been terrible. They should fix the basics before addressing all of the bells and whistles.

I think they should go back to the golf accuracy bar with the more accurate kickers having bigger accuracy bars but also as you get further back everyones bar gets smaller, that way hitting 47-58 yarders wont be so easy.

I agree. They should do something because the kick meter they have now is way too easy. I dont think I've missed a field goal due to accuracy since madden 06.

Yeah the only time I miss field goals is when I've had too much alcohol, other than that I never miss.

I like to see them get rid of all bars & meters. I'd like to see a system where we rely on timing player model animations instead, similar to shooting freethrows in NBA 2K. Pull back on the analog stick to get the kicker started, move it forward to swing the kicker's leg(instead of just letting it go), and having to angle the analog stick to aim the kick.

The way they have it now is pathetic. I remember wathcing the video about the change in the kicking meter a couple years ago and wondering why they even changed it.

It would be nice if they could do something here. Add wind and a more detailed system please.

Will madden have block FG's or punts this year? I have NEVER seen a blocked FG or punt in madden. 30 yards in it is money all game and you know without a shadow of a doubt you won't be able to block a FG. The snap and kicker running/kicking animation was to fast for the rest of the defense which results in NEVER a chance of a block.

Completely agree. I'm perplexed as to why it was changed to what it is now. It's as if they changed it in the interest of "updating" it, but it was an update in the wrong direction, IMHO.
