DL Pancake Issue addressed!

Sorry, but such a quick fix has me thinking that this is just an animation fix, where the DL is no longer 'pancaked', but still remains ineffective and/or stuck to the OL.

A standing DL is better than a pancaked one. Even if the suction problem isn't fixed, this is an improvement that will make 09 more fun until 10 comes out.

You are starting to sound like the guy in Seinfield who would find every little flaw with women no matter how crazy...seriously, it almost sounds to me like someone offered you a chance to sleep with Jessica Alba and you're pissed off because you'd rather have a night with Jessica Biel!!


I for one and very hopeful that this is not "just a simple animation fix" because the way the game works is based on calculations and probabilities and ratings being used to trigger animations. The entire thing is really a very elaborate slide show with frames being displayed via animations and animations being triggered via these comparisons (Ian - if I have that totally wrong, please feel free to correct me, I don't want to cause problems with bad assumptions). So, in order to "fix" the DE's getting constantly pancaked would have most likely required a change in the calculation or probabilities (or an additional calculation) that determine what animation should be triggered....

I am very thankful it is being addressed at all this far from Madden's release date - ie. with time for potential tweaks and fixes to be added.

See, you yourself say that your 'hopeful'. Im just trying to get clarification on what was done beyond "Its fixed". And when youve been told along that theres all these 'time constraints' on what they can do, such a quick fix is puzzling.

p.s. Id kick 'em both to the curb if Eva Mendes walked in the room.

Ian, thanks for the heads up and fixed which will add to an already (i assume) great game. Is there a certain point in time where you basically have to say, no moer fixed or add ons?
