Football I.Q. where does the Computer A.I. lack it.

I thought it would be good to start of list of A.I. Flaws, you have noticed. Area's where you have noticed the computer lacks a football I.Q.

It would be nice if everyone would list just one flaw, per post, that they noticed to keep things clean and uncluttered.

My observation is that the computer lacks end of game, end of drive, time management intelligence.

It would be nice to see the computer run intelligent run and pass plays to conserve clock when needed. Such as throws to the sidelines and ball-carriers trying to get out of bounce when needed.

Proper timeout usage, intelligence to know when they still have time to punt the ball, or go for it on 4th down in regards to time left, scores needed, and timeouts remaining.

Lastly deep throws when the clock is almost expired. Though this area might be addressed already.

ok this isn't gameplay related, but I guess its ok to post here.

The flaw that I see year in and year out that annoys me is the roster managment, draft management, and signing FA's.

I can't tell you how many times I noticed teams having 6 QB's but only 4 WR's or things along those lines.

Hopefully this will be addressed this year.

The A.I. would also have to be able adjust it's intelligence in accordance to quarter length because I don't think many people play 15 minute quarters.

its not any better on next gen...

And good point about the AI adjusting to the quarter length. This is something that should be asked in the Q&A thread, if it hasn't already.

Yea the trade A.I. was horrible in last gen. You could several trade scrubs and/or along with picks to get pro-bowl players. It was also to easy to cheat the system by making multiple trades. More realistic trade regulations and penalties have to be implemented. I could always get the players I wanted with not much penalties and stay under the salary cap too easily.

i would like to see the cpu utilize there weapons more often. for example, when im playing against the eagles i want to see the cpu make Westbrook the focal of thier offense. flanking him out as reciever sometimes to try and get a mismatch.

Draft mgmt is HORRIBLE. Id like to see that fixed, just better roster mgmt in general
