Atmosphere - Why so little in Madden?

That's great to hear. And while I do like some of these things, I just don't want them to impede on the gameplay itself.

Interactive sidelines have to affect performance in some way I'm sure, so maintaining the framerate will likely be a challenge.

And while I don't care much for half time shows (they get old after the first few times) I will say that the stats overlays and flyouts in 2K5 were amazing and really created a football feel for me.

I couldn't disagree more.

I feel the opposite. If the gameplay is amazing, I don't need the presentation. I'm more likely to play a game with good gameplay and NO presentation than a game with shoddy gameplay and amazing presentation. In the end, the presentation just can't make up for a frustrating game.
