If you have a different opinion of the game's overall quality - after playing the game for an entire year, versus playing it for 6 HOURS at EA's community event for Madden NFL 2008 - then you are certainly entitled to that opinion...but quit being an SECOND REDACTED OFFENSIVE TERM and trying to say that anything nefarious was involved in the early impressions of 2008....THAT game may not be perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but it WAS a lot better than 2007 and I stand by that assessment as much today as I did in August of 2007... I can also guarantee you RIGHT NOW that you (or people exactly like you) will find HUGE, GAME-BREAKING PROBLEMS with the new Madden 2009 shortly before September 15th....and then NEXT year you'll be back here AGAIN to remind everyone about how "horrible" a game 2009 was and how you "won't be fooled again for 2010" and how EA producer's are liars and Community Leaders are "pimps" and how obviously pure and noble you and your posts reiterating these stunning 'facts' are and so on and so forth. (BTW...do you see now how infuriating it is to be generalized and have people ASSUME things about you in ridiculous posts? )

i feel ya moos. although u might have went a tad overboard. people come here and bash and make wild accusations and i can understand ur anger. but just like you i have learned we must respond civily. although the silly and sometimes stupid remarks people state in these forums to get thier "hate" across is absurd.

FWIW, it didn't take me an "entire year" to see Madden for what it was worth with its disjointed animations, missing detail and lack emotion when portraying NFL football; That is evident from the first game you play.

As a community leader you shouldn't have to "soften the blow" when reporting the game, and that's what was done for '08. Most saw it for what it was on release day, and that was a slightly improved version of '07.

People didn't want a slightly improved version of '07, they wanted a GREAT NFL GAME!

Don't come at me with personal attacks and childish name-calling to get your point across, no matter how heated you are; It doesn't make your point any more valid and, in fact, can be construed as the comments you are reacting to having enough validity to cause such a response.

With that said, I stand by my initial point, which was to emphasize the developers coming here and making posts such as "we need more work in so and so area to become better than NFL 2k5" as opposed to the community leaders saying "the game is better than last year." As if it was something we didn't expect them to say...

BTW, if you were open with your statements about '08 and gave the good and the bad objectively to the community then you shouldn't have to "defend" your point, because it would be fairly obvious amongst the community.
