You know whats sad?....Madden 92 had things which Madden 2009 doesn't

-Chain gang on sidelines
-Referees
-Better Touchdown celebrations - 3:38 mark....lol..jk
-Detailed drive summary after each touchdown 3:44
-Better kicking meter

Some people are delusional . Please tell me you did not make this thread cause you are more concerned with the little things in this old game then the great things in Madden 09.

The comparison is a joke.

I think whats really sad is that this game is looking to be one of the best Madden's ever and the *****'s are still hating. Go play 92 if the ref's make ya happy.

The issue is all these little things add up to the sum total of the game experience.

EA has there priorities but the problem is, fan reaction, refs on the field, chain gang, better drive summaries, players in and out of the huddle, presentation on injuries and not an instant update. All these add up to a more realistic football game.

If you take one of these features you can say it's no big deal but add up all of these features that are not included and it really leaves a gaping hole in current gen Madden.

I understand what you are saying but they are not as big as some make them out to be. When I play the game I am 100% more concerned about what the players are doing and how the game plays. Every single thing else can take a back seat until that is great. Like next year 2010 version I could carless if they added ref's/first down markers ect.... if they didnt fix the OL/DL or the qb's pocket and overall animation.

I could careless about the sideline's/fans/cheerleaders/mascots ect....... Gameplay, gameplay,gamplay...........then add the cherry's on top. Once the gameplay is great then I will address the other area's. But how could one care about the ref's/chain gang, sideline's ect..... when the game doesnt play the way a nfl game does?

To me there is a greater importance for the gaemplay over all else. (And I feel it is getting there, BIG step foward this year)
