Will the Madden Demo make or break your decision?

50/50, I am going to rent NCAA 09, if it is far better than the demo I will not be affected at all by the Madden demo. If NCAA is as bad as the demo indicates it will be, then the Madden demo becomes somewhat relevant.

I will most likely rent Madden for PS3 before making any concrete choice. If Madden 09 on PS3 still sucks, I will be playing the PS2 version once again. The PS2 version does have some very irritating flaws, but the PS3 version of 08 was an unplayable game, even after the patch. The PS2 version has a well rounded franchise mode, a much better user interface, the ability to share files over the EA servers, and much better Playmaker D controls and far better and more intuitive gameplay controls. Until next gen catches up in those areas, I will be using my $700 PS3 as a PS2!!!

Well, if the EA team gives us more than those B.S. 2 minute quarters that are more representative of the actual game, maybe I'd put more into my decision of whether or not to buy Madden. But usually I just buy the game no matter how bad it comes out.

It could, but I doubt it. I always buy Madden and I always buy NCAA. Unless the demo is just flat out horrible I am sure I will be there the first day to get it. ( I won't do a midnight release like i do with NCAA though)

I might decide to buy if the demo is really blows me away, but more than likely I will wait for the lemmings to buy it and read their reviews first and then rent it.

I always laugh inside when I read of how many people are disappointed and pissed that they spent their money. I can't remember the last time I bought a game and was disappointed. That idea seems so archaic to me now.

It will not sway my opinion as it is a demo. I have made my pre-order based on the developers frequenting our boards here and a few other site as well and the community day guys that reported back to us. I feel good about everything I have heard and the way things seem to be heading with the game. If it does not work out, I will never listen to either source again and my football gaming days will be over.

This is the mentality EA banks on every year and why we haven't seen Madden truly reach for greatness they really don't have to.

As far as the demo making or breaking my decision for me it does help me decide weather I rent or buy.Now correct me if I'm wrong hasn't Madden and NCAA the last few years basically been pretty much the same game with the exceptions of teams and a few features but overall game play is the same. Based on what i've already heard about the NCAA09 demo sounds like another miss as far as gameplay this year.

the demo won't influence me one way or the other as to whether or not I get the game. I enjoyed '08 last year for what it was and I am confident that I'll enjoy '09 this year. I love football and I love the NFL.
