I know this will probably sound weird, but when i first crack open the game I smell it. I love that new game smell.

After that:

1. Make sure I'm not working.
2. Make sure I have plenty of food and drink.
3. Fresh pack of Camel menthol Lights.
4. Thumb through the manual.
5. Look over the Browns roster.
6. Play an exhibition game with the Browns against the Steelers.
7. Start a franchise.

Ok...I'll admit to being a little weird too. I smell the game manual...I'll have to give the disk itself a sniff on 8/12. This must be some kind of a "Man thing" of some sort.

My release day ritual has changed over time...I used to go buy the game on the release day, now I don't. My brand new ritual is to wait until it hits the bargain bin then I buy it.

Clean my room..for some reason I can't play a new game if the room is dirty..Get my bob Marley on and enjoy trying to figure out how to win with the Miami Dolphins

When I get home a little after 12:00am I go right into practice mode usually with the 49ers first then just random teams with players I would like to use/see there player models.

49ers vs 49ers practice mode to see all player models
then just random teams like the bears (brian urlacher) vikings (A Peterson) Ravens (Ed Reed,Rey Lewis) Browns (like there offense)

Basically day 1 is just messing with different teams to see what it feels like to control different players.

Then its all about Franhchise mode after that.

I smell it also at laest im not the only
1.Look at new game modes
2.mess around with the settings
3.check out the rosters and see how im gonna upgrade my Falcons
4.Play practice to get a feel for the game
5.Start up franchise with my Falcons
6.Finnally create a superstar
