Your release day rituals?

Usually buy it, pop it in, play a few quick games and then take it into practice mode, random plays for a few hours. Then I might start a franchise and go to week 1 and play every game, usually as the home team (save for Denver and Dallas, can't bring myself to do that, blaaaah). This isn't a franchise I will continue, it's a research project for sliders and such.

LOL that is fantastic. Browns fan here as well and I must say that looks pretty similar to my routine. Hadn't thought about that new game smell but your exactly right. I usually only buy 1 or 2 games a year so that smell still gets me.

I have never been a real franchise guy, I like the game for the game management. I really don't like being stuck with one team either. What I do is start a season, rotate through each week with a new team each week, then play the playoffs and so on.

I am actually considering hitting the midnight release.... anyone know what day places will have it? Can I pick it up at the night of the 11th? Like 12am Aug 12th?
