Re: Madden curse?

It gets old when some people people try to twist and bend any event so that somehow it must be associated with "the curse"

Most people can already guess if favres suits up he won't match the great season he had last year and it really has nothing to do with a curse. The run favre and the packers made last year was totally unexpected.

Anyways the last several years of favres life have been bad anyways, many deaths, including his dad, wife with cancer, and his last throw last season.

It seem as years go by people add more things that fit under their curse defintion, just so that it keeps going in their mind.

Re: Madden curse?

Just for the sake of being contrary...maybe Favre will be the one to "break" the curse. Maybe his comeback was planned by EA. If he plays for another team he is not really representing his box-art namesake the same, therefore tricking the the system and reversing the curse! Then next year (and all following) EA is free to put whatever "next big thing" player they feel like on the cover without fear of a curse bringing them down. All this thanks to Brett Farve...not just a cheese-head hero anymore

or...he breaks his leg, ends his consecutive game streak, get hooked on the painkillers perscribed for the leg, drowns his sorrow in alcohol, shames his family, then spends his life in a halfway house muttering incoherent lines about frozen tundras and pass interference.

Either way, someone is Wisconsin will be cheering for him

lol...yes, a bit extreme, but the curse thing is so silly, might as well take it to the extreme...and this is coming from someone who spent twenty-four years rooting for a "cursed" baseball team...lol
