So what were the 85 new features that was to be in Madden 2009?

1-80 = TD celebrations

How many of them are features and not only small improvments and tweaks? I guess that arount 80 are small tweaks. That may lead to a very improved game though but they are hardley new features.

Rewind is a new features and so is commentary. The playcalling screen is new also I guess. That is three new features. What more is NEW in madden and not small tweaks to already existing things?

If you go to Gamestop, look at the back of the Madden 09 cover, you'll see the 85 listed there.

Not sure what the actual 85 are but you can see from the new videos that EA has actually worked hard this past year on most of their sports games.

1) New graphics
2) New play by play commentary
3) New animations
4) Expanded playbooks
5) Ability to create plays
6) New touchdown celebrations
7) I have heard about a new halftime and after game highlight show that I hope is true.
8) Online leagues

Hard to say everything that went into this year's game but I was 100% a must pass for this year until I seen some of the new videos of the game in motion. Now I am a 100% purchase for the Special Anniversay Edition that combines Madden 09 and NFL Head Coach 09 in the same package. Add to that list NHL 09 and Tiger Woods 09 and this will be a great year for me. I am still on the fence with NCAA Football 09 though college football is by far my favorite. Btw: I am loving Nascar 09 this year! This is the first year I will admit that EA is doing a great job!
