Good news on Madden 09

I really like where Madden is going this year. Thanks again to Ian to involving us in some of the process that will make this game better.

This will likely be my first year purchasing the game in a few years. I'm not that much of an NFL fan, but I absolutely love college football and NCAA looks to be a big upgrade from last year's release. With that said, I can never have enough football games if they are good/great playing football games and if EA is putting out two strong products, then I will happily support them.

you know what would be better than the icons only turning off after they run back 15 yards??

if the icons turned off when you leave the pocket if you dont go thru all your progressions

i hate the "hike and dart to the sideline immediatly" cheesers

or maybe have the de's come off their blocks and hunt the qb down the second they break the pocket

and this syndrome isnt only vince young.....plenty of madden cheesers run outside of the pocket(not backwards) to get a "better angle" on their pass.....lmao. talk about not being sim.

So what happens if someone throws a nano blitz at you right up the middle? Or the DT whips the C or G right off the snap?

Now about losing the icons 10 yards behind the line of scrimmage...I'm against that for now. Mainly because a pocket isn't formed yet in Madden. But that's something that should definitely be worked on for 2010. That way if someone decides they're gonna take off and run way back the chances of them getting sacked increase dramatically because they're running the the DE's pass rush lanes.
