Re: Madden 07's Grapics = Amazing

In Madden's previous 2 next-gen releases, the crowd detail has taken a hit. On a HDTV, the crowd was sooooo pretty and crisp in Madden '06. '07 had better lighting, contrast, and field textures than '06 but the crowd took a slight hit. In Madden '08, they just blurred it out to get the game to run at 60fps(i.e. Live '08). Does Madden '09 continue the trend? Can anyone that has played earlier builds of '09 confirm the level of detail put into the crowds? I think it's a big part of the atmosphere.

I guess that's an opinion thing....I could care less what the crowd looks like. The only thing I care about is how the people on the field look like. I'm more worried of how the crowd "reacts" to on the field stuff..but to each his own I guess.

I feel that the crowd IS a part of the field because of the angle we play. It just seems incomplete to have crisp player models, detailed field textures, great lighting, .....................then it seems like you're watching the crowd through gas fumes.

I agree to a certain extent..but honestly...how much more detail do you really expect for them to put into the crowd without affecting the on-field action? I would much rather have a fully detailed environment (stadiums, players, refs..etc..) than worry about the crowd....Though I'd love to see that kind of attention to detail spent on the crowd, I just don't see how that's possible without that having a chain reaction effect.

I hear ya. The attention should start from the field, to the sidelines, then to the crowd.
