Re: Creating Yourself

I set my ratings based on how I compared to my high school teammates. Clearly I wasn't good enough to play in the NFL, so if I made myself "realistic", I'd be a 3.

So I inflate myself to match up to my high school performance. I end up being in the low-mid 70s (I was a backup quarterback, but I backed up a guy who went on to play for the Oregon Ducks... before being cut because he was an idiot).

I have good speed, poor acceleration, poor agility, average strength, below average throwing power, good accuracy, average awareness (this I set depending on how "experienced" I am to start. I'm going on 30 now, so I don't make myself as a rookie anymore:P), average break tackle. I end up being a fairly below average player, but good enough to hang onto a roster spot.

Just like High school:P

Re: Creating Yourself

I usually do this after i get tired of dynasty/franshise play. Ill create myself (exact specs) and run through a career. Makes it a bit more entertaining.

Re: Creating Yourself

I haven't for a real long time, maybe Madden 03 or something that long ago. I remember though creating me as the perfect QB with 99 on accuracy and arm strength. Also, 99's for kicking so I could be the field goal kicker and punter.

I might do it this year, but maybe make me a OL or something since here lately I have the size for it.

Re: Creating Yourself

i usually create myself as a FS and my ht/wgt are good for that, but I feel no need to limit myself to reality in that area. I once made a OLB and bumped up my/his wght to 235 and made him 6'2" tall.

I also use the how I "fit" in HS logic to make ratings, but I have made myself way faster or way stronger. The thing I do is limit myself to a 4 star incoming freshman in NCAA or no better than 74 OVR in Madden (if I create me in Madden rather than in NCAA).

Re: Creating Yourself

I stick to realistic with the height and weight, 6'2'' and 190lbs.

Obviously none of us are in the NFL and don't deserve high ratings, but I pride myself in how athletic I am, so the abilities that I think are exceptional I boost in stats. I'll only have one weapon though, and overall I end up at around 92.

Re: Creating Yourself

I'm always #5, usually a QB. I don't stick to realistic stats though. I'm only 5'8" 155lbs. So the only position I could survive as in the NFL would be Punter or Kicker.
