Nice idea. I'd +rep you but we don't have that here.

Our 99 guy will run a 40 at 4.2 exactly, and the rest of the game is scaled down from there (we actually have a debug timer in practice mode we can turn on to test it).
Yeah, thats great but unfortunately they still have that nonsensical speed rating hit when exporting a draft class from NCAA to Madden. And Im guessing the hit will be something drastic like last year.

I get what you are saying with NCAA guys being imported, but they could eliminate that if they placed a higher "weight" on position specific ratings and eliminated the mini-game for progression crap.

I wouldn't mind seeing SPD, AGI, ACC, THP, and JMP take no more than a 1-2 point hit and have STR in the 3-7 point range, and then AWR, THA, TAK, MAN/ZONE COV, Play Recognition, Hit Power, BLK SHED, spin, juke, stiff arm, TRK, ELU, and the other "position specific" ratings drop 10-19 points. I think that would allow the NCAA players to have their physical traits stay the same, while bringing down the OVR ratings to reflect the adjustment to the NFL.

The stupid mini-games for progression crap has to be eliminated. They should move to a "slider" system in the off season that takes into account the ratings of the coaches, the STR/COND coach, and some "hidden" ratings on the players like "potential, work ethic/ drive, study habits/ intelligence and personality vs HC influence/personality".

There's also the whole "immersion" thing that I think basically ALL games need to keep working on - (which NBA 2k series along with most all of the baseball games are doing great stuff in) - the crowd, sidelines, and hundreds of all extra characters seeming "alive". It's always a tough balance...to get into a little game theory here, what do the consumers want? We are measured by graphics a lot of the time...which basically limits what you can do with amounts of characters. Dead Rising is a perfect example - walking through these HUNDREDS of zombies everywhere make that game feel like a TRUE nextgen game to me, but graphically the game wasn't all that impressive and a lot of people scoffed at it. I would prefer a totally "live" environment to better graphics, but I may be in the minority (though I guess NBA 2k chose that route - worse graphics but more stuff going on in the environment than NBA Live). Which way do you lean?
I think I would lean toward a totally live environment too. I bet the graphics would still be alright.
