I am a Cowboys fan, but I live in WI and there is like a 60-40 split amoung fans around here. The 60 being people who want to move on, and the 40 being people that are blinded by their nostalgia for Favre's legacy.

I think Favre is one of the all time greats, but his risk taking style is not how the Packers want to play football anymore. Ted Thompson wants to move on. The fact is that Favre is on his way out, 1 maybe 2 years, and the Packers don't want to sacrifice their future for 1 last heartbreaking season endeing INT by Favre.

I could understand wanting to move on if Favre had played poorly last year. How can you let one of the best all time QB's walk after one of his best seasons ever.

If they do release him this would be one of the worst GM moves in recent history.

The Packers won't release Favre. They won't allow Favre to go to a divisional foe.

They will either trade him or keep him.

I am a Packer fan and i guess im one of the people who still want Favre to play. Why wouldn't I? Brett has shown that he can still play. Rodgers hasn't show me anything. It's all about winning NOW in this league.
