Wrong cover for Madden, Farve asks for release from Packers

This might force him to retire or come to GB, his choice.

Espn reported favre wanted to be released because he didn't want to interfere with the Rodgers and his chance to be the starter.

That's very thoughtful of Favre, but this situation isn't good all the way around, Rodgers, Packers and Favre.

The Packers would not be smart in releasing him so he can sign with any team he wants.

I'm a packer fan and I don't like seeing people bashing Favre, especially Packer fans. Favre has a problem of not knowing what he wants that obvious. It just shows he's human like anyone else. It's his life, his choices, things didn't go as well as they could of but there is no way to reverse that. I just hope this has some sort of nice ending other than the Packers organization and Favre hating each other. That would be horrible.

I understand how you feel, however, he has quit twice in March on the Packers.

Once publicly, early in March, and in late March he informed the Packers he was coming back, the Packers ordered a private plane to welcome him back and two days later, he called the whole thing off and said he wanted to stay retired.

After late March, the Packers started planning the Rodgers era. Drafted two QB's and the OTA's were put into place with plays for Rodgers.

After all of this, I don't blame the Packers.

I've been one of Favre's supporters for his entire 16 years with the Packers, but I still feel once you made a decision(twice) you keep to that decision.

I also hope there is an amiable solution on both sides.

Im probably gunna have mass requests when the season starts if Favre goes to another team. Yet again I've already had a lot of requests because many people dont want him on there regardless of what team. No wonder i've been getting all those requests for the Lions, Bears and Vikings lol.
