Who else plays as a Defensive End in Madden?

I LOVE playing as a Defensive end in Madden.

Lately I've been playing as Trent Cole on the Eagles.

Lots of people seem to play Linebackers or safeties in Madden game against me, but I usually go wit ha DE and it's usually pretty successful.

For one, QB's who scramble a lot don't get much time to dance when I'm constantly rushing them. And when I shift the line to overload one side, I usually sack the QB or at least nail a runningback in the backfield. Occasionally they'll audible, but I also reverse-shift the linebackers to cover the opposite side of the line.


Nothing feels sweeter then a hit-stick sack on a QB

Anyone else play DE? Or all you guys DB's?

MLB most of the time. Unless I call an OLB blitz then I control the OLB to ensure I attack the line in the spot I want to. I play DE on occasion if I'm trying to jump the snap.

I play just about everywhere online to be honest. I like to mix it up and force my opponent to change their attack constantly if I can. DE is definitely a lot of fun. I play it with Brett Kiesel and Aaron Smith, usually rotating the two.

Yup that's me.....Trent Cole all day.....Lately I've been playing as the LOLB a lot....It's cool too.

Being a Colts fan, it's very hard to use Freeney or Mathis. In a effort to raise my Madden skills, i'm going to play a lot more with Sanders and Bethea this year.

i usually always play as a DT. i love trying to get that inside pressure on the QB. i would like to play as LB but the movement is so twitchy that i always miss easy tackles and deflections.

in NCAA 09 i been been trying it out at LB and its been ok. hopefully Madden is the same.

I usually start as a d-linemen then switch to be the closest man to the play as things develop. The reason I haven't played much Madden over the past few years is the blocking has been too sticky & suctiony for me to enjoy playing as a LB or d-linemen.
