Simple question. Gamestop is selling there copies used for $20 at my local store and just wanted to see if its actually worth the money.

it was a good game. If you don't want to get madden 09, get 08. I loved that game no matter how many people complained about it on here. If you just want a solid football game I recommend picking it up.

probably depends on the system for me. I tried coming over from reg XBOX in both 07 and 08 and both experiments lasted about a month each. Both games on NextGen were just garbage, imo. 08 on PS2 or XBOX was pretty good. NextGen versions weren't worth $5 combined, imo.

if you do buy it, do NOT pay 20 bucks at Gamestop for Madden 08. you should be able to get it much cheaper either now OR definitely right when Madden 09 is released.
try your local craigslist.org or ebay.

but....my opinion is....don't buy it, period. too many problems with it.
to give EA any more $$ for that game would be wrong.

my assumption was that you meant either on the 360 or PS3.

Xbox game was fine.

Honestly your $20 is better spent towards the hope madden 09 is better, but we all know that's a hope and a prayer.

COD4, Gears of War, and GTA IV are your only sure bets.

Is Madden 08 worth 20 bucks? NO! It isn't even worth 5 bucks.
