It's not so much about the bashing (because that's unwarranted; People can express their frustration appropriately) but it's about some of the members here new-found entitlement.

Ian (or any other developer) does not use this board as EA's support hotline. Do not expect an answer 24-7 for every little thing you ask. Ask once... maybe twice... but to make demands? C'mon.

No worries, Pared. You're absolutely right. People need to calm the hell down and give these guys time to investigate these questions in order to provide correct answers.

With that said, the main problem child of this thread has been removed from the forum, so hopefully we can all move on.

To the people that say field degredation isn't important, you are partially right. If the game plays great and is a ton of fun, it won't matter.

The part that is wrong is that EA said it is in the game and talks about it as a feature in articles and videos (as demonstrated today), yet it might not even be in the game. People don't like being lied to about something they just paid $60 for.

It also continues the perception that EA doesn't put any time or real effort into the game. Noticing something like the field not altering when you play a game in the rain or snow is pretty easy to catch.

The perception in the community now is that EA is being lazy, not testing their games hardly at all, and using us all as glorified beta testers. When they continue to miss things that are obvious to a person playing the game on the first day, they do nothing to alter that persecption. Ian, Adam, or the CEO of EA Sports coming on this message board and telling me they are looking at it or whatever they end up saying, isn't going to change that thinking.

What will change that thinking is when they start releasing a game that doesn't have bugs, major glitches, broken features, or missing features that are found on the first day or two the game is released.

I was very impressed to see it... I might say it is overdone, but it could be from the lack of field degradation. It might not look so overdone if the field followed suit.

Either way, I'm so glad it is there. I'm really contemplating on selling NCAA and going with Madden. I just wish the Giants red Alt. Uni wasn't incorrect.

Even with NCAA's faults I'm struggling to not buy it. I normally buy it then it collects dust till madden comes out this year I showed some will power. Giggity Giggity Goo. O Right.

Ya know what guys? Now that I really think about it, in the vids you can see the excellent rain, and puddle splashes. So, even if we don't see the field actually degrade, I think the water effects might somewhat keep the immersion factor intact. Just some wishful thinkin'.
