EGM gave Madden 09 an A

I don't know if this has been discussed but each rater gave Madden received 2 As and one B in a review. The all loved the visuals (cold weather games, player physics). One reviewer talked about the Rewind feature actually helping him beat certain plays which I feel is pretty cool. The only problems they had were the accurate QBs and the A.I. in 4th qtr situations, and also Tom Hammond lol

They actually feel that this game lives up to the hype of the next gen trailer for madden 06

I wouldn't go that far to live up to that CGI trailer. But it is a great step-up. I read that review and was encouraged though. Too bad there wasn't an option to just turn off Hammond. Haha, O well.

Yeah..graphicaly at times it reminds me of the trailer..but I dont know man, that trailer had me so hyped about football games. Kinda like the opening trailer of WWF Just Bring It lol

I really feel like they nailed it with this one. Hammond, some of the spinning cameras, and the transitions get old fast...but it looks hot. Also, I'd like to see EA add an element to sport gaming that has not been done yet...animated accessories.

I don't find Hammond THAT bad, like unbearable, as most here have described.

It is a HUGE step above the radio guy. At least Hammond seems to call the plays as they happen, even if it is a bit robotic.
