I feel like I'm missing the point here. How was that list proof of Madden's "un-sim-ness"?
It isn't. That's basically the point. Hence why this has turned into simply an analysis of the list itself, and just what the word "sim" means.

Ok,then,do you watch football? If you do,try to play the way you see it on tv.In other words, mix up your play calling, punt in a situation an NFL team would punt in,so on and so forth.Don't keep running the same one or two plays over and over just because they work. That is sim.If you want to over analyze it,it's apparent you really don't want to play sim.

Simulation is the imitation of some real thing, state of affairs, or process. The act of simulating something generally entails representing certain key characteristics or behaviours of a selected physical or abstract system.

In short IF you hike the ball and run backwards 20 yards to pass your not sim.

I LIKE the fact that it's not a true SIM.

Head Coach is a SIM. Madden is a football videogame.

I don't like true SIMs. SIMS are too much micromanagement and that's not fun for me.

I'll take Fun over SIM 7 days a week.

I wish Madden was LESS SIM and more FUN.
A lot of people on here think sim is fun, me being one of them. That's why we have text sims, and NFL Head Coach.

Just sayin.

300 yards rushing? Ok, the record is 296. It's close.

6 rushing TDs? The record is 9, but that dates back to 1922. KC had 8 in a game in 2004 though.

7 passing TDs? The record is 7, dating back into the 60's. Brady threw 6 vs Miami last year.

12 sacks in a game? Giants, last year vs the Eagles.
6 sacks with one player? Osi Umenyiora, same game.

2 kick return TDs in a game? Devon Hester last year.

550 passing yards? NFL record is 554.

60 points vs a Rival is probably the most unrealistic one, but the 2004 season had the Bengals beat the Browns 58-48, and last year the Pats put up 56 vs Buffalo.

Thus....there's NOTHING WRONG with the achievements in this game. They're rather difficult to reach... which is why they're called ACHIEVEMENTS
All of the records you are showing are by one Player to get the achievements you have to do it with a Team.
The only achievements in there that has to with one player is 6 sacks with one player and 10 catches with one player. So there not that difficult actually. Sorry if i sound like i'm bashing you i'm not.

That was hilarious. I know it was unintentional, but hilarious none the less.
