Was this something that needed to be pre-ordered or can i just walk up to a counter and buy it? Also,the Collectors Edition includes Head Coach correct?

I don't think it was pre-order only but it might be sold out in stores early on. I believe it includes Madden 09, Head Coach 09 and a bonus disc with some features on 20 years of Madden football.

it also includes madden 93 with updated rosters from 08-09 season.

Yea it didn't need to be pre-ordered, but the likelyhood of you getting your hands on one tonight might be tough. Your best bet would be to call first to your local store(s) and see if they have any extra copies, then get there probably by 11pm EST or whatever timezone your in.

Shouldn't be a problem.

Madden 93 is what sold it for me...I was willing to spend 30 bucks for that pixelated slice of nostalgia. 93 as we called it at my high school was the game that won and lost tens of dollars as we bet on games in complex tourneys after school. It was the first game at which I won cash just for being a sports game junkie. I'm stoked to have it back!

If i go to gamestop tuesday around noon or wednesday around noon will i be able to get the collectors edition for the PS3.

Seriously man...what a strange question. That will totally depend on local demand and the store / location you go to. I suspect there will be a few floating around if not more. But I haven't read anything about how places are going to stock it.

Ebgames / Gamestop / Wal-Mart are all doing midnight releases so you might want to call your locals and just see what they've got going on in terms of stock. Likely they can give you a better idea than folks on this board can.
