For the second year in a row, I might be purchasing Madden for the PS2 due to the franchise issues I've been reading.

Anyone have any impressions so far? Specifically..

How accurate are the rosters?

Any difference in gameplay from last year?

Have the sim stats been fixed?

Is franchise working still and if so, any changes? (Such as does the computer do better in the offseason when it comes to signing free agents and drafting)?

My midnight trip has been canceled even though I pre ordered Madden on the 360. Still waiting on a final decision as to which system I'm getting this for. Can't believe it's 2008 and I might still be playing on PS2.

My friend bought the game for the PS2 and we played a game and I simmed a season to see if anything changed.

Despite EAs claim that the PS2 was still getting love, it isnt. Its not really much different from last year. Few very minor, but negligible tweaks made. Nothing noteworthy added.

Another bold faced lie by EA.

They arent bad, but it does need a roster update like the other systems got.

Like I said, very little. All the problems from last year are there this year, as expected.

From the season I simmed...its still the same sim engine on the PS2.

Same same same. Its basically all the same.

Just a roster update, basically. If the roster update is that important, buy it. There are a few changes here and there, but its basically the same EXACT game as last year.

EA makes me sick.

the only thing i really care about are the crazy running back stats. do guys still get 500+ carries a year?

Like I said...same sim engine as previous years. EA doesnt care.

I'd buy the PS2 version if the fixed the spawn game function so that I can play a franchise online with a friend. Problem is, it's been busted since they incorporated the spawn game option and I'm not paying $40 and my buddy isn't paying $40 (total of $80) to find out if they fixed it...funny story, I email tech support at EA to ask them that very question and they responded by telling to look at their website for imformation about the game...of course thier website doesn't tell you anything about bug fixes and never has...total joke. In some areas EA really has thier heads up thier a$$...
