This game is awesome this year! Breaking tackles is automatic in NCAA 09.

Also don't use the sprint button unless you see a huge hole to run through. I've noticed that the linemen seem to be "programmed" to shed their blocks if you use the sprint button. I've tried it a lot on the practice field, and it seems to be a common occurence. If I hit a small hole with the sprint button pressed, the linemen immediatley shed their blocks and tackle me. If I go through the same hole with no sprint, the linemen get blocked better by my offensive line. Only use sprint once you've passed the first level of the defense.

It's not that they can't, it's just if you know your back and do power/vs elusive moves you will end up more successful.

What is the timing for power backs? When should I attempt to truck someone? Everytime I've tried to hit someone as they were about to hit me, I've gotten pushed back.

right before the defender makes contact with you. if u do it too early u will get pushed back or lit up. u will get the hang of it.
